Couples

Couples sessions are all about celebrating your connection and capturing the way you naturally are together. I photograph couples throughout Rochester and the Finger Lakes area with a lifestyle approach that is relaxed and genuine, focusing on real laughter, quiet moments, and the little interactions that make your relationship unique. Whether we’re exploring a favorite location or chasing golden hour light, the goal is to create images that feel effortless, authentic, and truly reflective of your story.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Sessions can take place anywhere that feels meaningful to you and reflects your personality and vibe! Whether that’s an outdoor location with beautiful natural light or an in-home lifestyle session. I’m always happy to suggest locations based on the look and feel you’re drawn to, from natural and scenic, urban and modern, cozy and intimate, or something unique to you.

If you’re not sure where to start, don’t worry, I’ll guide you through choosing a location that fits your vision and photographs beautifully.

  • I always recommend neutral, coordinated outfits that complement each other and the season. Soft tones, texture, and layers photograph well.

  • Yes! I love when pets are included! They’re part of the family. I just recommend bringing an extra set of hands to help when they’re not in photos, along with treats or a favorite toy to keep their attention.

  • Most couples sessions take place during the last 1–2 hours before sunset ( golden hour) when the light is soft, warm, and most flattering. For morning sessions, we’ll aim for shortly after sunrise for a similarly beautiful look.

If you’re booking an in-home or studio session, timing is more flexible and will depend on the natural light in the space. No matter what, I’ll help choose the best time to ensure your photos have that soft, natural feel.

  • If the forecast calls for steady rain, we’ll reschedule at no additional cost. I always build flexibility into my calendar for weather. If it’s just light mist or overcast skies, we may still move forward. Cloudy days actually create soft, even light that photographs beautifully!
